Welcome to my blog. I document life as a failed musician.
I started this blog several years ago with the aim of writing about the life of being a professional musician, travelling around the world to work contracts in hotels or on ships.
It was also going to be a place to display some of the photos I took on my working trips abroad.
The problem was that I soon realised that my interest in music was almost completely dead and so I found myself wanting to do literally anything else other than write about anything music related.
I now only play in one band because the other members are friends and so it’s still fun. However, the work with this band has really not recovered after the pandemic and so it seems like its days are numbered.
So from now on, this blog won’t be about music. Not that it ever really was, as I barely posted anything.
Instead I will write about places I visit or random things I come across as I try to find another income source that isn’t a 9 to 5, as I don’t think I’m employable now.
Things are desperate enough that I’m trying to make money through stock photos, which thanks to A.I. is about to start dying a slow death. Or maybe a very quick one.
I’ve also learnt to count cards, so a trip to the U.S might be necessary to risk what savings I have left.
At least the title of this site is still relevant. Any travels going forward will still be for work purposes only.
I have a very small number of followers on Instagram and so I stopped using it. Feel free to follow anyway. Maybe I’ll start again. But I now post my better photographic efforts on my Clickasnap. Because they pay me.
